Seminar / workshop "Missing Poems: How to Force School Children to Be Creative"
In the workshop we worked together with literature teachers and practically developed some scenarios for working with school children (methodology & creative tasks suited primarily to pupils in grades 5–12). We worked with the “non-blank page” method, where participants are already given some raw materials for making poems.
It was very, very captivating. And it was fascinating to hear how the same words could form differing poetic images.
I only made 1 photograph of the pupils' works, for a glimpse – "Monta, tu putns" – but I should have photographed them all.

A practical workshop at the writing festival “Rakstivāls” in Līgatne, in the Zeit creative quarter.
Participants developed their literary ideas in groups, drawing not on inspiration but on principles and rules they defined themselves. We worked with a p5.js web editor.

We experimented with free flow, randomization, and constraint methods. In 3 hours — ready song sketches — impressive!

A two-day creative course for teachers organized by VISC.
Primarily for literature teachers — creative writing exercises and discussion of principles for evaluating creative work: creating a safe environment, expressing opinions, organizing group work, breaking tasks into smaller parts, free flow writing, stealing dialogues, practicing conversational language, writing down dreams, and how to write an essay.

Creative writing workshop “Contradiction in Text as a Source of Intrigue” — Pessoa, Neiburga, Hilzenrat.
Participants are introduced to a writing technique that adds intrigue to a text by relying on internal contradictions. The workshop begins with literary excerpts, followed by writing their own texts, and then collective analysis and reflection.
